Vaping in the USA

Vaping in the USA

With the permeation of locally produced, artisanal goods creating new opportunities for American manufacturing, vaporizer companies have been quick to capitalize. It’s no secret that decreasing a country’s dependence on foreign imports is essential to bolstering any nation’s fledgling middle class. Let’s take a look at some stateside companies looking to make America VAPE again.

Cloud Pen

Formed in Orange County a half a decade ago, Cloud Pen started out as a group of vaporization enthusiasts who were tired of inferior vape pens. In the wake of a newly growing vaporizer market, cheaply manufactured, foreign vape pens became abundant. While these products were low cost and readily available, the quality didn’t make for a great vaporizer pen experience. So they decided to dream up a better vape pen.

The Cloud Pen line contains a variety of vaporizers in different price ranges, all offering different functionality. From discreet vape pens, to an e-nail dabbing rig, the diversity and quality of these offerings really live up to the goals the company set to achieve with their inception. While much of the line is focused on concentrates, they also have options for dry herb. The Chloris is a portable vaporizer with features comparable to the G Pen Elite, including a ceramic heating element, precise temperature control and LCD display for about half the price. That sounds like value without cutting corners. That sounds like the American way to me.

Magic Flight

The folks at Magic Flight have made a name for themselves not only through their portable vaporizer, but also for their great service and commitment to the community. Their vaporizers are crafted in San Diego from start to finish in collaboration with artists, which helps to bolster their local economy. They stand by every portable vaporizer they make, offering a lifetime warranty. They’ve recently been working on expanding their line of vaporizers, which now includes herbal grinders and whips, all handmade with their trademark homespun charm.

Magic Flight began with the Launch Box, a unique take on a portable vaporizer. Eschewing the standard plastics or metals used by other companies, the Launch Box is responsibly sourced from wood. Aside from being totally green and renewable this portable vaporizer offers the kind of charm that harkens back to a sense of old-timey craftsmanship. One must commend Magic Flight on their efforts to progress their community and employ local artisans.

7th Floor

Based in Colorado, 7th Floor has been producing portable and desktop vaporizers for over a decade. Seeing an opportunity to create a product from the highest-quality materials, they launched the Silver Surfer desktop vaporizer at a time when vaporization was still in its infancy. Naturally, this early start has allowed them to progress ahead of the competition.

While synonymous with desktop vaporization, 7th Floor has expanded into portable vaporizers. The SideKick is their flagship portable vaporizer, boasting a design that contours to your hand and a built-in stirring mechanism. The glass mouthpiece is hand-blown and the hybrid conduction/convection heating system offers a variety of presets for accurate vapor production. Hailing from the purple mountain’s majesty, 7th Floor’s vaporizers recall the halcyon age of American idealism and ingenuity.

The mentality of “Think global, act local” applies to the goods one consumes as much as an individual’s actions. With a majority of vaporizers being produced outside the U.S. it's definitely a breathe of fresh air to see American companies making an effort to positively impact the domestic economy. Vape red, white and blue.
