Desktop Vaporizer vs. Portable Vaporizer

If you’re just getting started with vaporizers it can be tough to choose between a desktop vaporizer or a portable vaporizer. Many portable vaporizers share the same features as desktop vaporizers but in a smaller more-discreet package. This includes precise digital temperature control, convection-style heating (no combustion) and high quality build and finish. Portable vaporizers are a great way to enjoy your favorite dry herbs when you’re out and about.

Desktop vaporizers are typically more expensive than their portable counterparts but offer more robust features and extended use. Most desktop vaporizers use a glass whip with mouthpiece or a balloon bag to get the vapor where it needs to go. Balloon vaporizers feature an air pump to push heated air through the herbs or concentrate into the balloon itself. Whip-style vaporizers require the user to inhale each time to draw heated air through the herb or concentrate. Both the whip and bag allow the vapor to cool before it’s inhaled for a smooth experience.
