Details

The engineers at 7th Floor created the Da Buddha Vaporizer or "DBV" as an affordable and economical solution for vaporizing dry materials . The Da Buddha is stalwart in the home vaporizer pantheon, and for good reason. It is a perfect starter vaporizer thanks to its simplicity.

How does it work?

The Da Buddha plugs into a wall outlet and uses AC power to activate a ceramic heating element which you can see from above the unit. This is a classic “whip-style” vaporizer which means it features a silicone tube which forms an airtight vapor path from the heating element to the mouthpiece.Since there is no fan, the airflow is created by the user’s breath. Just grind up your desired ingredients, load the wand approximately 1/3 of the way full, and turn the knob on the front of the unit so that it faces the 2 o’clock position. Once you see the heater turn an orange-red color, simply slide the wand into the ground glass heater cover on the front of the Da Buddha and take a nice, slow inhale for about 10 seconds.

Size & Appearance

The Da Buddha Vaporizer is built from anodized aluminum and features a ceramic heating element with a ground glass heater cover. It’s approximately a foot tall and only weighs three pounds; 7th Floor includes a padded storage bag for the DBV, making it one of the most easily portable stationary vaporizers on the market.

Why the Da Buddha?

The Da Buddha is a great vaporizer for someone who is new to the science of vaporization and doesn’t want something complicated. Our favorite aspect of the DBV is the hands-free connection. What this means is you can set the wand in the heater and the ground glass construction creates an airtight seal so none of the vapor escapes and you don’t need to hold the wand up next to the heater in order to achieve even vaporization. Bottom Line: This vape is foolproof from start to finish. There’s virtually zero learning curve to get it going and maintenance is an absolute breeze. The only pieces that require attention are the screens –which can be replaced easily—and the glass implements which can be cleaned using a cleaning solution.

"Quality You Can Afford"

Review by Robert Paulson on March 9, 2015

"I had been really interested in the Silver Surfer because I had the opportunity to try it, but didn't want to spend close to that much on my first vaporizer. After doing some research I learned about the Da Buddha, made by the same company that makes the Silver Surfer that I enjoyed. Without waiting, I jumped at the Da Buddha and went for it in the standard Silver. The ground glass connection is very solid and doesn't easily disconnect during use. It is also easy to clean after it begins to gunk up. I just throw out the tubing and get more, no need try and clean that part. A downside to the Da Buddha is the straight heater cover, the SSV has an angled one that prevents the herb from falling onto the heating element. I used a binder to prop up the back legs of the Buddha to create the same sort of set up and it works just fine. For temperature I suggest starting lower around 1 o'clock and working up from there. DON'T accidentally blow back into the tube, because the herb will get all over the heating element and burn up!"

"Gift for the BF"

Review by Stacy on June 11, 2015

"I got this for my boyfriend for his birthday. He has a couple portable vaporizers, but I wanted to get him something he could keep and use in the house. He loves it! It doesn't seem as technical as a lot of other models I've seen advertised, but for the price you can't beat it!"

"Love the design and simplicity, great product. "

Review by Jane Blow on July 6, 2015

"The Da Buddha by 7th Floor is a beautifully crafted device that is simple and priced competitively for desktop vaporizers. The glass on glass with simple dial and quick heat up time makes this unit one of my favorite desktop vaporizers. It's so easy to use and clean as the parts come off effortlessly, though they remain sturdy and intact while in use. The whip is perfect for this model and with a glass mouth piece for inhalation. You really can't beat the quality for this price and it produces excellent clouds, also the bag it comes with is perfect for bringing this to a friends house. "

"Solid Desktop Vape"

Review by Clint Beastwood on August 11, 2015

"Enough said. This a solid piece of vaping equipment and the price is crazy affordable. The glass on glass connection from the wand to the ground piece creates a nice airtight seal, glass mouthpiece can be cleaned in a minute, easy temp control, heats up quick and the whole thing sits nicely on your desk. Definitely recommend this to beginners! It comes with a poker, a couple extra screens and a pretty heavy duty bag so you can tote your vape around. Thanks guys!"
