Plenty Vaporizer

The Plenty is a home vaporizer made by Storz& Bickel, the German engineers responsible for the universally acclaimed Volcano Vaporizer. The first thing you’ll notice about the Plenty is its odd, industrial appearance. Some say it’s a power tool, some say a soldering iron, we say it’s one of the most powerful and satisfying vaporizers ever created. Though it has a handle and is technically a “handheld” vape, it is not considered a “portable vaporizer” because the Plenty requires AC power to run which means it needs to be plugged into a wall outlet. Because of this nuance, the Plenty falls into a category of what we’d term handheld home units.

HOW DOES THE PLENTY WORK?

The Plenty Vaporizer uses convection current technology to pump pure, toxin-free vapor through a sophisticated cooling coil for immediate direct inhalation. The first thing you’ll notice about this vapeis how huge the loading chamber is. It’s even bigger than the one on its big brother, the Volcano. Having a wide loading chamber is advantageous because it increases the surface area, which allows for more robust vapor production.

So the next decision to make is how much material to use. If you’re using the Plenty for a solo session, you don’t need to use very much, basically just the amount necessary to dust the bottom of the chamber. For solo sessions you’ll want to place the included liquid pad inside before screwing on the cooling coil. This will ensure that your material remains snug inside the chamber no matter what angle you decide to vaporize at. If you’re going to use the Plenty with more than 2 people, you can go ahead and fill up the chamber completely; there’s no need for the buffer pad.

Once you’ve ground up your material and filled the chamber, you can attach the cooling coil which contains the Plenty mouthpiece. Next, set your desired temperature using the dial on the front of the vape. We recommend setting to 6 or 7 to get the best vapor, but we encourage you to try different settings because everyone’s preferences are different. After you’ve chosen your temperature, hit the power switch to activate the heating element and then you’ll see a little light illuminate and you can watch the temperature dial slowly rise. After roughly 1 and a half minutes, you should be at your selected temperature level and ready to vape. There’s another switch on the handle, which is the automatic shut-off. We recommend using this feature if you want to keep your temperature consistent without losing vapor in between draws.

CAN THE PLENTY VAPE OILS AS WELL?

Yes! The Plenty is compatible with dry material as well as essential oils. To use aromatherapy oils, simply dab them onto the Oil Pad that comes standard with every Plenty Vaporizer. The Oil Pad resembles an old-school brillo pad, and provides a lattice wherein your oils can vaporize thoroughly without gumming up any of the vaporizer with sticky residue.

WHAT’S UP WITH THE COIL?

This feature is a one-of-a-kind advancement from Storz & Bickel used exclusively on the Plenty. The strange twisted design of the metallic coil serves the purpose of cooling the vapor on its way from volatization in the chamber to direct inhalation at the mouthpiece. Without the cooling coil, the vapor would be very hot and may irritate your throat, but this way you can get very pleasant inhalations that retain the essential flavor of your favorite aromatherapy materials .
